Precautions for use (applicable to all products)

1. Regarding the operating temperature of the fluid

Products using acrylic tubing are limited to use at temperatures below 80°C.
(Flow switch products are limited to use at temperatures below 60°C.)

2. Regarding foreign matter in the fluid

  • When using industrial water, please be careful of limescale buildup.
  • When using oils containing friction reducers or other additives, please be careful of "oil buildup."
  • If debris or iron filings are mixed into the piping or fluid,
the ball (float) may stop working.. Please use filters or similar methods.
*If foreign matter enters the transparent tube during use, please clean the inside with kerosene or a neutral detergent.
(Organic solvents such as paint thinner are not permitted.)

3. About fluid flow

  • If air bubbles are mixed into the fluid, the ball (float) may not function properly.
  • When using this product in areas where the fluid flow pulsates, please pay attention to the specified operating flow rate.
  • Please note that changes in oil temperature and viscosity will affect the operating flow rate.
  • If the product freezes, the transparent tube may break.
If there is a risk of freezing, be sure to drain the water from the unit.

4. Effects of shock and vibration

  • Avoid dropping the product or using it in locations where it may be subjected to strong vibrations or impacts.
  • If connected to piping diameters where rapid opening and closing actions (such as those of solenoid valves) occur,
the unit may be damaged due to water hammer or air hammer phenomena.

5. Precautions for product installation

  • When using liquid sealant during piping installation, please be careful not to apply more than the appropriate amount.
If sealant that has not completely dried flows into the transparent tube (brass tube) of the product,
it may cause malfunctions or accidents.
  • Installing products such as MK, MKT, and MKM without protective covers in areas where the piping is warped
can lead to damage to the transparent pipe. (We recommend using products with protective covers.)
  • Please pay attention to the tightening torque when installing. If tightened to a torque value higher than the recommended value below,
cracks may occur in the transparent pipe and fittings.

6. Other

  • Products using transparent acrylic tubes may experience wear on the inside of the tube due to prolonged use or customer usage conditions. In such cases, as this may affect the movement of the ball and float, we recommend replacing the parts or the entire product.
  • Products made with nylon balls or floats may swell when they absorb water, which may slightly affect the movement of the balls and floats.
